*Note: the Windows folder that was last viewed with Snapact Photo Manager prior to closing the application will be the folder first displayed when launching the Snapact again.
Organizing Your Photos & Creating Snapact Albums
- Photos can be organized easily by creating Snapact Albums. In the “Albums” pane, click on the drop-down menu next to the orange sprocket icon and insert your top-level album. Multiple lower-level albums can be inserted into top-level albums.
- Album information and privacy details can be set during initial album creation or you can “edit” your album details at a later time.
- Photo information can be entered for search functionality. To enter photo information, click on a photo and the photo information pane will be displayed at the bottom of the Snapact Photo Manager window. Text can be entered into Tags, Title, Description, Comments, Artist, and Copyright fields. For “Ratings”, select the number of stars with the mouse cursor.
- To add photos to your albums, select/click the photo and “drag-and-drop” them into the applicable albums. Photos can be easily added or removed from albums at any time. To remove a photo from an album, right-click on the photo and select “Remove from Album” or “Remove from all Albums” Note that removing a photo from an album does not delete the photo from the computer hard drive and send it to the Recycle Bin.
- Any changes to a Snapact album will be displayed with a “blue” dot on the album. The blue dot will be displayed until synchronization has been completed with your Snapact Online account.
Sharing Your Photos
- Once you have created your Snapact Online Photo Sharing account and your Snapact albums, clicking on the “Sync” button will upload your photos and albums to your Snapact Online Photo Sharing Account.
- Album Privacy and Snapact Account Profile privacy can be changed at any time. To change your Album Privacy settings, select the applicable album and “right-click” on the album or click the drop-down menu and select “Edit Album”. To change your Snapact Online Account Profile privacy settings, you must log in to your Snapact account and make the applicable changes under “Settings”.
- To send the URL of your Snapact albums to your friends and family to view, log in to your Snapact online account and click on the Albums link. Your published Snapact albums will be displayed with a URL link to the album. Highlight the URL link, right-mouse-click on the highlighted URL and select “copy”. Open your email client, right-mouse-click inside the message box and select “paste”.
- The address for your Snapact Online Photo Sharing account will be http://www.snapact.com/u/[yourusername]/. You can send your Snapact account address and URL address of photos and albums to your friends and family to view. If you have enabled privacy settings for your Snapact albums, your friends and family will need to sign up for a Snapact account and request to be your “Snapact Friend” in order to view your private photos and albums. This process is required in order for Snapact to authenticate who can and cannot view your photos.
